The Terrible Twos (一)

My son Gareth is a Welsh Rugby Union referee. When he first started to referee some of the more important games, some were televised.
I was sitting with my grandson Aled, watching Gareth, and afterwards I said, "Wasn't it exciting watching Daddy on television. What did you think of it?"
"Oh, it was all right, " he replied, " but I wish he would play nicely with the others instead of blowing that whistle and putting his hand in the air."

My grandson was asking his mother what time of day he was born.
"One o'clock in the morning," she told him.
"I hope I didn't wake you up," he said.

While working as a midwife I delivered a baby in the morning at the mother's home and returned later for the evening visit.
I was greeted at the door by the two-year-old who said:
"Have you come to take it back again? We've had it all day."

Some years ago, my small daughter (four and a half years) had her first PE lesson at her new "big" school.
She said she had enjoyed it and added reassuringly, " It's all right, Mummy, I didn't let the boys see my Knickers."
"How did you manage that?" I replied.
"Well," she answered. " I took them off!"
